Ted Reeve Construction Update (April 2023)

The City of Toronto has now confirmed which arenas we will use while the construction project at Ted Reeve Arena is underway:

Heron Park Community Centre — 292 Manse Road

McGregor Park Community Centre — 2231 Lawrence Ave. East

Scarborough Village Recreation Centre — 3600 Kingston Road

The City of Toronto has provided us with multi-hour time blocks on a variety of days at these arenas so that we can continue to provide the 21 hours per week of House League programming that we would normally provide at Ted Reeve Arena.  The City has also allocated ice time at these arenas for our Tornados Select and CDS programs (location/time by team TBD).

We are hopeful that the construction will progress uneventfully throughout the summer months so that potentially we will be back in Ted Reeve arena by November 15, 2023.  The City timeline shows that we will be back in Ted Reeve Arena no later than January 1, 2024.  More updates on timing for the arena reopening will become available as the construction progresses.  The City is trying to get the renovations done as quickly as possible.

Player/Friend Request Policy:

House League is a great opportunity to meet new friends in your hockey community. We understand that it is fun for players to be placed on the same team as their friends. However, this places extra work on our wonderful volunteers and can also result in unbalanced teams.  Friend requests are up to the discretion of the Division Convenors. The registrar will take note of any requests (1 per player and must be reciprocated) and will forward them to the appropriate Division Convenor for consideration but there is no guarantee that the request will be granted.

Team Rebalancing and Equalization:

In order to maximize fun and positive experiences for our players, we try to ensure that House League teams are as balanced as possible.  Accordingly, teams may be rebalanced and players traded up until the December break.  We are aware that most players do not want to be traded, however, we appreciate your cooperation with the division convenors when trades are made.  Please note:  All players (except children of coaches) may be traded.

Refund policy:

Please read our refund policy before registering by clicking on the Refund Policy tab.

Please note:

Hockey Canada only allows players to be registered for one club at a time. If you register for more than one hockey association for the current season and then decide to withdraw from Ted Reeve Hockey Association our refund policy applies.
